By accessing or using PackCalc ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PackCalc provides engineering calculation tools for packaging, logistics, and supply chain professionals. Our tools include box strength calculators, pallet optimization planners, case builders, and related packaging engineering utilities.

3. User Accounts

Some features of PackCalc require you to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

Your project data and calculations remain your property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Calculation Accuracy and Disclaimer

Important Disclaimer

PackCalc tools are provided for informational and planning purposes. While we strive for accuracy and base our calculations on industry standards, the results should be verified by qualified professionals before making final decisions.

Packaging decisions involve many variables that may not be captured by our tools. You are responsible for:

  • Verifying calculations against your specific requirements
  • Consulting appropriate standards and testing protocols
  • Conducting physical testing where appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PackCalc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Losses arising from reliance on calculation results
  • Product failures or damages
  • Business interruption or lost profits
  • Data loss or corruption

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PackCalc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

10. Subscription and Payments

If you subscribe to a paid plan:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • Refunds are provided according to our refund policy
  • We may change pricing with 30 days notice

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms will survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on our website or sending you an email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
